The Role – Commercial Executive
We are seeking driven, commercially minded individuals to join the sales team as Commercial Executives. You will be the frontline engine of revenue growth; hunting new business, building lasting client relationships, and driving sales across the full product suite, with a special focus on Voice Connect and KOVA IQ. This is a high-performance role with a clear promotion path: top performers will be considered for promotion to Commercial Manager within 6–12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify, research, and qualify new prospects across banking, insurance, healthcare, logistics, retail, and the public sector. Build a robust pipeline using CRM tools and conduct outbound outreach via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and in-person meetings.
- Product Sales (Voice Connect & KOVA IQ): Develop deep product knowledge, run discovery conversations, tailor solution presentations, deliver compelling demos, and close deals. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Build trust-based relationships with decision-makers, act as a consultative partner, ensure smooth post-sale handover, and gather client feedback for product teams.
- Reporting & Collaboration: Maintain CRM records, prepare weekly sales reports for the MD, and collaborate with marketing on campaigns and lead generation.
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience (technology, telecommunications, SaaS, or financial services preferred).
- Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong command of the sales process (prospecting to close).
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Excellent English communication skills; ability to present to senior decision-makers.
- Self-starter with high accountability and resilience.
- Experience selling communications, API, or cloud-based technology.
- Existing network in Ghana or West Africa (enterprise, SME, or public sector).
- Familiarity with HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM.
- Working knowledge of voice or messaging technology (IVR, SMS API, CPaaS).
Key Competencies: Hunter mentality, consultative selling, commercial acumen, relationship building, adaptability, results orientation, team collaboration.
Performance & Promotion Path:
KPIs include monthly/quarterly revenue, pipeline conversion rates, qualified opportunities, client acquisition/retention, and CRM hygiene. High performers who consistently exceed targets will be considered for promotion to Commercial Manager within 6–12 months.
